On my border crisis tour this month, while filming in Eagle Pass, Texas, a report of an active shooter brought a massive response from the military, Border Patrol, and Texas State Troopers.
I had been waiting at a spot on the border where there was a gate in the 30-foot wall in that section. Border Patrol and soldiers would put illegal aliens on buses for transport to a processing center.
All of a sudden, Border Patrol and state troopers took off in their vehicles at a high rate of speed. I decided to chase them.
The officers stopped about a mile down the border highway we were on. I pulled to the side of the highway and began filming with a drone and ground cameras. Everyone thought it was an active shooter.
I heard National Guard soldiers racking their guns and yelling “is it friendly or hostile fire?!!!”
Steve Bannon had me on his War Room show a few times while I was filming on the border in Yuma, AZ, and near El Paso, TX so I let him know what was going on. He brought me on later that day to discuss what was happening.
About 10 minutes passed and BP agents came over to me as I was flying the drone. They told me I would need to move to the end of the line of government vehicles as the area had become an active crime scene. I asked if there were any bodies but he couldn’t answer.
Below is drone video I shot of the response and of an ambulance leaving the scene.
I spoke to a Fox News camera tech who had setup in the area if he had heard anything. He told me he heard that it might be a suicide of a soldier but it was unconfirmed.
Army National Guard soldiers are on the border in Texas to assist Border Patrol with all of the illegal aliens.
While I was there I overheard soldiers saying that they don’t understand what they are needed for as they were trained to kill enemies and no one is shooting at anyone, all the illegal aliens do is give themselves up to whoever is there.
This video shows soldiers assisting Texas State Troopers with illegal aliens as they wait for Border Patrol to show up.
Unfortunately, later that day the Texas Military Department released a statement confirming that it was indeed a soldier suicide.
AUSTIN, Texas – A Texas Army National Guard Soldier assigned to Operation Lone Star died, while on duty Tuesday.
“We are deeply saddened to have lost one of our own today. We extend our deepest condolences to the family,” said Maj. Gen. Thomas Suelzer, The Texas Adjutant General.
While I was on the border in Texas I saw many NG soldiers under camouflage netting and hanging out by their Humvees.
The soldiers assist Border Patrol but are not involved in the processing of illegal aliens per say.
One soldier told me that their job was just to make sure illegal aliens didn’t die while crossing. It may have been an oversimplification as the mission of Operation Lone Star is to stop illegal immiration and drug trafficking.
Two days later the Texas Military Department released more details and the name of the soldier.
The Texas Military Department announced the death of a Texas National Guard Soldier supporting Operation Lone Star.
Texas Army National Guard Spc. Demetrio Torres, 20, died from an apparent gunshot wound on October 4, 2022, in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Texas Rangers and the command are investigating.
He was assigned as an infantryman to Company Delta, 3rd Battalion, 144th Infantry Regiment.
“We are grieved by this loss. We honor the time and service Spc. Torres gave to the Texas Army National Guard, his presence will be missed in our ranks,” said Maj. Gen. Thomas Suelzer, the Texas Adjutant General.
There was an investigation as several soldiers have committed suicide while serving on the border. Last December the Army Times reported that four “soldiers tied to Operation Lone Star have died by suspected suicide in the past two months, according to family members, Guard troops currently on the mission and official documents.”
Because of Joe Biden, Border Patrol agents and National Guard soldiers have to deal with massive waves of illegal aliens in the worst of weather and geographical conditions.
The original job of the US military was border enforcement.
And given the mess we are in that's what it should be used for again.
Anyone who looks at the cartels in depth and tells you we are not being invaded by a power on par with near par foreign entities is lying to you.
They have more money then most countries south of our border and tech that includes weaponized drones.
Until we start treating them like a hostile military power things will get worse.
