Yes, the CIA has sided with certain cartels in the past in order to defeat other ones in the name of "reducing deaths," etc. I escaped a hard drug addiction and a gang that was being supplied by drug cartels when I was 19 and it had massive negative affects on my life. I'm libertarian-ish on some issues, but I will never be OK with legalizing hard drugs and allowing hurting people who don't have the best self-control to poison and kill themselves slowly or on purpose. Won't go down that avenue.
People take hard drugs for extreme pain. You can prohibit them all you want. The pain will win. Better to put people with PTSD under a Drs. supervision and let them prescribe and monitor. That way we can stop funding gangs.

My guess is that all the 7 Oct attackers were abused children. Ordinary people cannot generate that kind of murderous rage. They displaced their anger (displacement is very common with abused child PTSD) on the people their religion told them to.
War as displaced anger? Hitler was an abused child.
It is also a problem with politics.
If you look closely at Democrats, their policies are driven by mental illness (PTSD caused by child abuse). They have the symptoms. Sexual deviance. Drug use. Permanently angry. We treat them as at least somewhat rational. They are not rational. They are mentally ill.
Proof they are not rational? Their policies are incoherent. “Gays for Palestine”. The poor people’s party wants high oil and electricity prices.
America is being made a victim of displaced rage (a PTSD symptom). Rage is what their issues have in common.
I know all this because I used to be an abused child (I gave up my anger).

My theory of war - PTSD builds up in a society. War is then used to kill off the violent PTSD (men).
